Gucci Giardino

Florence

Designer spritzes overlooking Piazza della Signoria

Positioned on Piazza della Signoria within the wider Gucci Garden complex, Gucci Giardino translates the Florentine fashion house's visual identity into an all-day café and cocktail bar rooted in Italian aperitivo culture. The venue takes its name from the florist that once occupied the site, carrying elements of that history into the design through floral references, layered colours and a relaxed café style atmosphere that feels more grounded than theatrical. While closely linked to Gucci's broader hospitality and cultural projects in Florence, the bar has developed a distinct personality centred around contemporary Italian drinking.

The drinks programme, overseen by Martina Bonci, moves between classic Italian frameworks and lighter modern compositions that place emphasis on balance and accessibility. Negronis and spritz variations remain central to the offering, while seasonal cocktails incorporate Tuscan ingredients, citrus oils, herbs and lower alcohol structures that suit Florence's slower rhythm of drinking.

The terrace overlooking Piazza della Signoria reinforces that sense of place, drawing both locals and visitors into a space that feels connected to the city rather than isolated from it. Gucci Giardino succeeds not because of branding alone, but because it understands how to translate fashion aesthetics into hospitality without losing sight of the cocktail itself.
