While Zuma has venues all over the globe, it is the Dubai spot of this modern Japanese izakaya that has become renowned for its cocktails and service. A square bar allows guests a view of all the shaking and mixing from every angle, where the robust cocktails are created. The drink styles are split into the Kanjo menu – meaning ‘emotions’ in Japanese: Nomikai, made up of aperitivo-style drinks with a Japanese twist; Zuma Heritage, which is made up of Zuma favourites from over the years; Kurashikku – classics with a twist; and the Rare & Limited section of cocktails using premium spirits.
For a funky take on a Ramos Gin Fizz, try the Ramos San with gin, Japanese yuzu panna cotta, egg white, citrus and soda, or Zuma staple Japanese Paloma with tequila blanco, clarified yuzu and hibiscus cordial, grapefruit Himalayan salt and soda. Be prepared for a loud, fast-paced night with energy emanating from every table.
