Anafe, which takes its name from a traditional portable stove made of iron or clay, started as a pop-up project where chefs Mica Najmanovich and Nico Arcucci took their delicious dishes to delight diners around Buenos Aires.

After captivating all-comers with their comfort food, the pair established a restaurant in the Colegiales neighbourhood, which was named the American Express One To Watch as part of Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2021. Anafe’s cuisine is a mix of the chefs’ combined Spanish, Italian and Jewish heritages, with international techniques unified by the smoke of a traditional Argentinian grill. Every dish on the menu is a trip to a different corner of the world where guests can find combinations such as glazed churrasco steak, Vietnamese carpaccio and quinoa couscous. Desserts are also must at Anafe: the bombe Alaska – with a Pionono base, quince syrup, Sambayón ice cream and meringue – is one of the most popular sweet bites.
