Winery restaurant Casa Vigil is a feast for the senses: sit outside in its verdant rural surrounds on a beautiful day, a glass of homegrown wine in your hand. 'Mi casa es tu casa' is the bodega's motto, an ethos apparent in the team's generous hospitality – the only difference being, the food isn't this good at home. A worthy entry point is the eight-course Classic tasting menu with paired wines, which, following guests being treated to a tour of the vineyard, showcases the likes of flavour-packed trout and carrot, sweetbread with beetroot or corn and beef – as well as a dish simply entitled 'apple'. The accompanying bins are all carefully selected to enhance each course. Return again for the 11-course tasting extravaganza – and be sure to leave room for the petit fours.
