In the same spot for over 25 years, Chef Rouge is a classic French restaurant whose menu is created under the gaze of Alain Ducasse's consulting arm, Conseil. A speciality of the house is its duck, served many ways: the breast with orange sauce and gaufrette potatoes; the leg cooked confit with apple and pink peppercorns; and the thigh slowly braised with olives. The menu also covers off excellent examples of French classics such as escargots, onion soup and a lush tarte tatin to end the night on a sweet note. The dining room is an intimate and elegant space, with pistachio-hued walls and plush velvet sofas.
