Villa le Bec
French chef Nicolas Le Bec worked in New York for 25 years, before heading east in search of a new adventure. America’s loss was Shanghai’s gain. Housed in an elegant, 1924-built house on leafy Xinhua Lu, the multi-tasking Villa Le Bec opened in 2014 – initially, the casual brasserie Bistro 321, followed a year later by the main restaurant. Dining areas include the 18-seater Buddha Room, the intimate Cellar Room, which seats four to six, and an in-demand garden terrace. Gallic classics are unashamedly indulgent while an expansive wine cellar covers all of France’s premier growing regions.
