The atmosphere in this minimalist stone-and-wood clad sanctuary is so serene there is something almost sacred about it. Chef and founder Tony Lu celebrates the plant kingdom through artfully presented tasting menus that showcase considerable technique. Lu changes 40% of the menu each season, ensuring favorites stay while experimenting with new techniques and ingredients. Porcini mushrooms are served in a glass jar filled with the smoke from a small grape vine, while the ‘flower pot’ dessert features layers of roselle and apple ice cream topped with cocoa powder and a dehydrated enoki mushroom flower. Sophisticated Chinese tea pairings (rather than alcohol) ensures every diner leaves with a sense of inner zen.
