Jatak is what happens when a New Nordic approach to produce and technique is combined with flavours emblematic of Asia. Opened early in 2022, it’s found on an unremarkable Nørrebro street, with a facade that gives way to an intimate dining room whose interiors sing a song of cosy minimalism. It’s the work of Canadian Jonathan Tam, ex-head chef at city favourite Relae, who cut his teeth in the kitchens of Noma ¬– a pedigree that points straight to great things.
