Le Bristol is one of the smartest hotels in the city and counts Hermès, Lanvin and the President’s Elysée Palace among its neighbours. Candelabra and tasselled tablecloths set the tone for Epicure’s vast dining room, and you can eat in the garden courtyard when the weather permits. 2019 is a special year: it’s Éric Fréchon’s 20th as head chef and ten years since he won a third Michelin star. His 20th-anniversary menu includes grilled leeks with seaweed butter; tartar of white pearl oysters, spring onions and lemon; Bresse hen breast with yellow wine, crayfish, green asparagus and morel mushrooms.
