L'Ambroisie

Paris, France

A love letter to classical French dining, there are no tasting menus or wine flights at L’Ambroisie, only proper portions in three proper courses. Chef-owner Bernard Pacaud, now in his 70s, has run L’Ambroisie with his wife Danièle since the 1950s, and it’s known for long-standing classics and outstanding food. Alongside the feuillantine of langoustine with sesame and curry sauce, and the hot-cold egg with sorrel, asparagus and golden caviar, are traditional French dishes such as frogs’ legs, snails, lobster, veal sweetbreads and pigeon.
