Taking some inspiration from Japan’s omakase approach, Bar Spirit Forward is centred around a long, beautiful bar consisting of teak wood and granite, where guests can comfortably interact with this Bangalore venue’s bartenders. Created by accomplished bar operator Arijit Bose, and first opening its doors in the latter half of 2023, this is a refined yet vibrant bar that manages to be both polished and welcoming. There’s plenty to explore here, from the artwork on the walls to the upmarket food and drink offering. The cocktails are true to the bar’s name, with plenty of boozy options, such as a 3 Gin Vesper Martini and Campfire Old Fashioned, but there are lighter, longer options available too. A popular option is the Southern Star, inspired by cocktail classic the Hotel Nacional and combining tequila with plum, guava and pickled jalapeño.
