Originally a premium sushi spot complete with chef's counter, Japanese chef Takashi Miyazaki transformed the fine dining spot into a more relaxed, accessible bistro experience, offering simple but on less outstanding Japanese cooking. The chef, who also runs Miyazaki in Cork, serves a compact menu of starters, donburi featuring cod, deep fried chicken and prawn tempura and hot and cold soba, with flavour-packed toppings ranging from ume plum, wakame and katsuobushi to yuzu, lemon, daikon, hay leek and scallion. It's superb value given the quality of the ingredients and artful presentation, plus there's a standout selection of natural wine on offer by the glass or bottle.
