Once a traditional Japanese home dating back more than 100 years, this space is now home to speakeasy-style Bar Savant, behind an unmarked door with no sign. Inside you’ll find a warm, wood-filled interior with glass doors leading to an exquisite garden, and a long bar facing onto an impressive collection of spirits, with a focus on whisky. Doors open every day of the week at 2pm, welcoming those seeking out an afternoon whisky or cocktail, and continuing into the evening. There’s no menu, but the cocktails tend towards the classics, and the extensive spirits selection extends beyond whisky into craft gin and rum. There’s a changing selection of interesting beers on tap from Japan and further afield too.
