Lofty, triple-height ceilings reveal a dramatic canvas for it all across guest spaces, with craftsmanship highlighting textiles, stonework and carpentry throughout. Japanese minimalism is softened by Italian warmth across the modern bedrooms – witness the hand-leafed gold ceilings, the clean lines that ease to yellow and orange wall tapestries, the elm-wood panelling framing marble bathrooms. Fashionable mid-century modern furniture by both Japanese and Italian designers adds to the scene of synergy.
