Tokyo, Japan

Nestled in the heart of Tokyo's tradition-steeped Asakusa district is this little slice of France. Owner/chef Noboru Arai opened Hommage in 2000 aged 26 as just that – a homage to the gallic culinary arts he spent several years perfecting before returning home. Expect fresh, seasonal ingredients allowed to shine in each dish, paired with a stunning selection of wines. The set menus change with the seasons, but the quality is consistent, with dishes including mutton ravioli, cauliflower mousse and scallop tart coming highly recommended.
