Among the eating and drinking concepts of Republik, a colonial-style building in Kuala Lumpur’s Damansara Heights area, is one particularly dynamic one. Cocktail bar Tickets features an ever-changing theme which is presented as a show, complete with stage curtains through which to enter. Each of these themes inspires the venue’s decor, cocktails and more. Currently the theme is Maguey, celebrating agave-based spirits and Latin American classics, but with a Southeast Asian twist – think Palomas and Margaritas, but also signature drinks that combine tequila with yuzu, for example. A fun, theatrical venue for becoming immersed in a particular culture and spirit.
