A seasonal Basque feast awaits at Bakéa, which triples up as a gourmet store and café. Chef-patron Vicente Etchegaray sources many ingredients from his purpose-designed orchard, using Mexican produce to recreate Basque flavours and textures: think seabass with shrimp pearls, portobello sashimi, and sweetbread ravioli with roast chicken juice and sherry. The simple red-and-white decor allows the vibrant dishes to jump off the plate.
