What happens when you take one of Latin America’s best restaurants, a group of vinyl fanatics and mix them with a more than a sprinkling of liquid history? Your answer may be found in the excellent Café de Nadie, which opened in the south of Mexico City in 2021 from the team behind The World’s 50 Best Restaurants high-flier, Pujol. It’s a bar which places hospitality – and music – first, as a minimalist venue dedicated to giving guests a great time and serious drinks. Combining its main loves, the menu offers creations such as the Commodores-inspired Sunday Morning, with vodka-marinated strawberries, vermouth with macadamia, chardonnay foam and vanilla. Most drinks utilise local and underappreciated ingredients from the surrounding Xochimilco district of the city.
