As the brainchild of chef Massimiliano Alajmo, nicknamed the 'Mozart of Italian cuisine' during his time at Le Calandre, the menu at Sesamo focuses on Italian dishes that have stood the test of time. Split into antipasti, primi, secondi and dolci, it is easy to navigate with the help of attentive, professional waitstaff who glide soundlessly through the carpeted dining room. Plates such as spaghetti aglio e olio and squid ink tagliolini are firm favourites, while the Neapolitan-style pizzas are equally authentic, their light and airy crusts finished with perfect leoparding. With gilded lighting and plush seats indoor, with and a fountain on the terrace, the restaurant's interior and exterior evoke an old-timey Italian villa. There's no such thing as a bad seat here.
