Pop-up turned bricks-and-mortar restaurant, Bak opened in 2013 on the third floor of a refurbished warehouse in the old lumber port of Houthaven. The stylish interior features vaulted ceilings, wooden seating and festive strings of light bulbs. Ethical sourcing is key. Eschewing an à la carte menu in favour of three, five and seven-course set menus. Chef Benny Blisto sends out perfectly composed plates embellished with colourful foams and garnishes, best enjoyed alongside some of the quirky natural wines on the list.
