Located on the edge of Singapore’s vibrant Chinatown, this modern and minimalist restaurant is effortlessly chic. Boasting a bright and airy dining room subtly shaded in muted hues, dishes here reflect the double-sided Seoul, pairing contemporary Western technique with Eastern Korean heritage flavours. A course of duckgalbi, relaunches the traditional tteokgalbi as a skewer, trading the traditional minced-beef patty wrapped around a tteok (rice cake) for a hand-formed cylinder of duck. It’s rendition of jeon (vegetable pancake) supercharges the humble dish with shrimp, grouper and a lobster doenjang butter to create a dish fit for high gastronomy. As its menu advances through ‘episodes’ each season, expect chef Louis Han to dig deeper into his backstory to craft unique dishes inspired by his formative memories of Korean gastronomy.
