With harbour views and outstanding seafood cooked on a customised grill, Kaia Kaipe has remained a favourite of locals and visitors since 1962. The list of whole grilled fish for two includes turbot, sea bream and sole, while the seafood menu offers barnacles, oysters, crayfish and raw or grilled clams. There’s also a small selection of grilled meats. An acclimatised terrace is open year-round, and the spacious, nautical-themed main dining room also looks out onto the fishing port of Getaria. Kaia Kaipe is the older sibling of Elkano, one of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.
