Set in the evergreen Widder Hotel in Zurich’s Old Town, the site was once home to the city’s hottest jazz ticket, something the bar plays homage to today, with spring and autumn Tuesday sessions welcoming some of the world’s top names in the game to the stage. With a cocktail menu split into houses – Experimental, Luxury, Martini, Tiki and so on – expect to see reinventions of the classics, with some inspired concoctions that hit all the marks when it comes to on-trend technique. Examples? Huay Chivo is a modern pick with goat-milk washed mezcal strega, olive brine and fig syrup; or perhaps a Port 75 – white port, Frangelico, pear juice, lemon, salt and champagne.
