Accessed via an unassuming entrance, once you're inside Moonrock has all the elegance of a Taiwanese tea house, with dark wood panelling, neutral walls and lots of greenery, but don't be fooled this is very much a cocktail bar. The drink list is concise and straight-to-the-point with original creations like the gastronomic-led Monday Blue Cheese mixing tequila, blue cheese, Chardonnay, tomato and basil or the more conventional Broadleaf, blending rum, coconut oil, cardamom, pineapple, pandan and sichuan pepper, making for a menu which saw Moonrock place at no 91 in Asia's 50 Best Bars 2022. The food menu takes in a number of European classics, from Italian charcuterie to French escargots in a pungent garlic butter, which might not make the best date food but are no less delicious for it.
