Acclaimed and amiable chef Thitid ‘Ton’ Tassanakajohn, of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants stalwart Le Du, returns to his traditional Thai roots at NUSra. Naming the restaurant after his grandmother, who passed in 2020, Tassanakajohn pays homage to his heritage by putting a creative spin on ancient family recipes. The tasting menu consists of 12 courses, starting with delicate and innovative salads and finely sliced seafood, before moving onto flavourful curries, tiger prawns and river fish. NUSra, which is located near the Wat Pho temple on the bank of the Chao Phraya River, sits above another of chef Tassanakajohn’s ventures, Mayrai Pad Thai and Wine Bar. The dining room is comfortable and atmospheric, boasting a friendly and elegant interior. With one long central table seating only 10 guests at a time, NUSra presents an intimate dining experience that allows you to thoroughly focus on the marvellous food.
