Gusbourne

Kent, UK

50Best Accolades
  • No.28 The World's 50 Best Vineyards 2025

One of England's most serious players, Gusbourne in Kent was founded in 2004 with the goal of making fizz to rival champagne. Head winemaker Mary Bridges crafts her sparklers from the classic trio of pinot noir, pinot meunier and chardonnay grown on chalk-rich soils in Kent and West Sussex. Known for its racy Blanc de Blancs, Gusbourne has also carved a niche for its exemplary still pinot noir and chardonnay, which are among the best in England. Head to its hospitality complex The Nest for immersive tours, tastings and masterclasses. Picnic-style lunches are served on the terrace during the summer and high-rollers can book the Icons experience, which includes a tasting of Gusbourne's top wines and a four-course lunch. Look out for chef takeovers throughout the year, featuring the likes of Ricki Weston from Watley Manor, and special events like wine safaris, winemaker lunches, and wine and pizza weekend pop-ups.
