Best known for the fun 'press for champagne' buttons that adorn every booth, Bob Bob Ricard has become something of a London institution since it opened in 2008. Everything about it screams flamboyance, from the glamorous Art Deco–style bar and blue-and-gold furnishings inspired by the Orient Express, to a menu filled with lavish English and Russian classics. A meal might start with vodka, caviar or oysters before moving on to the likes of steak tartare, chicken Kyiv or beef Wellington, with decadent side dishes and boozy chocolate truffles rounding things off. Service is famously warm and courteous, the atmosphere exuberant yet refined, and of course, champagne is never far away; with bubbles available at the push of a switch, it remains one of Soho's best spots for a celebration.
