A neighbourhood pub with exceptional food, The Harwood Arms in upmarket Fulham and is the capital’s only Michelin-starred pub. Head chef Jake Leach employs techniques learnt at The Ledbury, a former World’s 50 Best high-flyer, to use the whole animal in his dishes. The à la carte features the likes of venison pâté en croute and a Fallow deer shoulder cooked for eight hours. Leach has also brought new bar snacks to the table, including slices of rich beef tongue on dripping toast with celeriac and an oyster schnitzel. The restaurant’s produce, from the meat to the stone-milled flour, is sourced from local and responsible suppliers. Visit on a Sunday for one of the best roasts in London.
