Oleana

Boston, US

Inspired by her travels around Turkey and the Middle East, Ana Sortun presents small plates using locally sourced meats and fish, as well as ingredients from Oleana’s own farm. Hot and cold mezze include zucchini pancakes, spinach falafel and devilled eggs while there are larger plates of lemon chicken and beef souvlaki. Pastry chef Maura Kilpatrick serves sweetcorn ice cream pops, baked Alaska and Turkish-style profiteroles, and wine director Theresa Paopao commands a great list of artisanal wines. The menu’s handy glossary explains everything from amba (a pickled condiment) to zhoug (a spicy herb sauce).
