Vetri Cucina

Philadelphia, US

Philadelphia native Marc Vetri opened this influential Italian restaurant in a historic town home in 1998 after spending years studying traditional cuisine in Italy and Vetri Cucina has been collecting accolades ever since. This mainstay continues to be a charming experience thanks to the warm hospitality afforded by the skilled staff. Currently the only dining option is a four-course tasting menu, which, in true Italian form, features an antipasti, pasta, secondi, and dessert. As a community-minded program, all grains used to make bread, pasta and pastry are sustainably grown and milled in-house; the produce, meat, cheeses and other dried goods are sourced from local purveyors. And, while the restaurant does not have a sit-down bar, a collection of spirits, beers, and wines—from their extensive 2,500+ bottle collection—showcase some of the best Italy has to offer.
