An ambitious neighbourhood restaurant perched atop an extinct volcano. Katy Millard (who trained in multiple Michelin-star kitchens in France) specialises in home-style food made with treasures harvested from local markets, cooked to an exceptionally high level with plenty of heart. Tagliatelle with porcini and rabbit ragù sits alongside asparagus laced with lemon and sprinkled with toasted hazelnuts. Tipples include a great selection of pinot noirs from small Oregon producers, as well as some unusual roses and orange wines.
