The newest concept from the team behind cocktail haven Drastic Measures (located next door), Wild Child is a small, perky corner bar with an exuberant interior scheme – think ample natural light, abundant greenery and floral wallpaper – and a dazzling drinks programme, divided into wine, cocktails and alcohol-free options. The latter is an especially notable part of the programming, with the team using forward-thinking behind-the-scenes techniques such as vacuum distillation to create drinks sans booze; in some instances, owner Jay Sanders uses a Girovap to remove alcohol from spirits and liqueurs, to better recreate their alcohol-spiked counterparts. Try the N/A Negroni for the best example of this: made with gin, campari and sweet vermouth that have been stripped of alcohol, it has the same rich bitterness and complexity as the original.
