25hours Hotel Dubai One Central

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The 25hours name is celebrated in Europe for its indulgent, decadent vibe. Anchoring the new One Central district in Dubai, this 25hours is carving out a new niche in the sometimes predictable local nightlife. The Accor-Ennismore collaboration injects a dose of hipster chic without sacrificing any of the brand’s respected quality. Architecture firm Woods Bagot blends minimalism, Bedouin influences, and found objects – typewriters, antique cameras, vintage ephemera – to create a homey yet luxe experience. More throwbacks are found at the ‘Analogue Circus,’ a collection of Walkman stations, records and an adjacent library; if that’s not enough, ‘Analogue Upgrades’ allow guests to order a truck of gear including VHS machines and phonographs. Guests also gain access to pottery and podcast studios as well as a desk where one can barter personal belongings for hotel credits. Risque quips and slogans like ‘come as you are’ sprinkled about the grounds make the space feel more like Shoreditch than the UAE. Five bars and restaurants dot the space, each with a hook such as shisha, coffee or beer. The signature outlet is Monkey Bar, a satellite of the popular Berlin craft cocktail bar, offering all the tropical buzz of the original.
