Chief reason to visit: An eclectic menu that blends Latin American, Asian and European flavours. About to celebrate in 25th anniversary in 2021, it remains one of the country's must-visit dining destinations and even won the Highest Climber Award in 2017.
Who is Harry Sasson? Arguably Colombia's most famous chef, Sasson heads up a mini-empire of venues across Bogotá, including a bar, bakery and steakhouse. His eponymous flagship restaurant remains the jewel in the crown.
What to order: The menu takes in pides, empanadas and wood-roasted meats, alongside plates from the mozzarella counter and the Japanese robata. Try the smoked avocado gazpacho with crab.
What's the vibe? Housed in a mock-Tudor mansion with a stunning bar clad in glass and girders, Harry Sasson is a magnet for Colombia’s rich and famous. But it also manages to retain a welcoming and inclusive feel thanks to warm service and simple, delicious food.
What else: The dictionary-thick wine list is arguably one of the best in the country with a huge range of South American, Californian and European wines, many available by the glass.
