Sounds familiar: Acclaimed British chef Jason Atherton makes a triumphant return to Dubai’s culinary scene with a tasting menu concept inspired by decades of professional culinary experiences, as well as his personal travels.

Immersive environment: The dining experience, accommodating only 22 people at a time, is broken into three acts. Act I: The Finest Welcome sees guests invited to enjoy snacks and an aperitif;  Act II: The Pinnacle is the main event in full view of the open kitchen, and Act III: The Grand Finale allows diners to wind down with an aperitif in the chef’s library.

An ode to Japan: Atherton’s love for Japanese ingredients and culture is evident through notable inclusions on the 17-course tasting menu featuring Hokkaido scallop, saroma wagyu A5 and bluefin maguro.

Meet the team: The Row on 45 kitchen is overseen by executive chef Daniel Birk, who joined Atherton’s The Social Company in 2013. His role is to oversee the group’s new openings and and lead the execution of prestigious events across the globe.

What’s in a name? Row on 45 is a combination of the acronym for Refinement of Work and a nod to its location on the 45th floor of Grosvenor House Hotel in the heart of Dubai’s marina area.
