          Valencia

With more than 800,000 inhabitants, Valencia is Spain’s third largest city. It is bathed by the waters of the Mediterranean and surrounded by greenery – thanks to multiple urban parks, such as the Turia Gardens, and natural areas like L'Albufera. These spaces transform the city into a clean and green microclimate, with more than 300 days of sunshine each year and an average temperature of 19 degrees Celsius.

Its rich Mediterranean cuisine is based on quality, local produce, that is often sourced from orchards that surround the city and nourishes markets, bars and restaurants. In addition, Valencia is the birthplace of the most internationally recognised Spanish dish, paella. It is a land of rice fields and traditions that have been preserved for many years.

A perfect city to enjoy at any time of the year, thanks to UNESCO Heritage attractions, including the Lonja de la Seda, the Tribunal de las Aguas or the Fallas.

Valencia is at the forefront of sustainable projects that have earned several international awards, such as the European Smart City 2022 and the European Green Capital 2024. It is also the World Design Capital 2022, a title that extols the quality of Valencian design and the work of architects from the Santiago Calatrava province, from which came the futuristic and avant-garde City of Arts and Sciences complex.

Valencia is a city connected to the world, thanks to the connections from by air, train, sea or highways.
