Your guide to the best restaurants, bars and hotels around the world has grown again, this year venturing into wine country with nearly 200 vineyards.
We all travel differently. Some double down on the tried-and-tested icons, the big hitters, the list-makers.
Others want to go a little off-piste. Find that bar with five seats and no sign. The octogenarian-run taco truck. Or the lodge only reached by seaplane, speedboat, maybe even a zipwire. If this sounds like you, you're in luck: 50 Best Discovery has launched its biggest refresh yet.
Celebrating amazing venues around the globe and voted for by 50 Best's expert academies, more than 650 new addresses are now live on the site, with more than 75 new cities and towns making an appearance for the first time. The site has also moved beyond where to eat, drink and stay, spotlighting some of the world's finest vineyard experiences, too.
Vineyards join the fold
This addition brings a new dimension to the platform, offering wine tourism lovers breadth and depth through which to further their passion. Take the sprawling, multi-generational Antinori nel Chianti Classico in the Tuscan hills, or Catena Zapata's Mayan-inspired winery in Mendoza – entries that build in landscape and terroir to 50 Best Discovery's world-class curation.

More destinations than ever
There are also more countries than ever, with Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Jamaica landing for the first time. There's also plenty of growth in the US, with the addition of Ojai Valley Inn in California; the restaurant Yoshitomo putting Omaha, Nebraska on the map; and Balkan Treat Box bringing Bosnian street food to Webster Groves, Missouri. In Japan, Rosewood Miyakojima is a highlight in tropical Okinawa, while Kobe's Mimosa Pudica proves some of the country's best drinks can be found beyond the big cities.

For the remote-loving crowd
If your idea of a good trip involves several modes of transport, and possibly a horse, you'll be delighted by entries such as Pikaia Lodge in the Galápagos, The Singular Patagonia, Desert Rock Resort near Umluj in Saudi Arabia and Londolozi in South Africa's Sabi Sands. Mexico's presence has broadened as well, led by the wild beauty of Punta Mita on the Riviera Nayarit, where restaurant Rubra and hotels Naviva and Susurros del Corazón now sit side by side on the platform.

The Middle East adds Amman's Majora and Marrakech's ultra-luxe El Fenn, and Latin America blossoms with new cities such as Cali in Colombia, Venezuela's Valencia and San Vicente in Ecuador. In Europe, there are the Faroe Islands' Ræst, France's Arborescence and Spain's OSA and Mont Bar.
