The most hotly anticipated, and recently renovated, hotels to check out in the year ahead.

Cambridge House, Auberge Resorts Collection, London
Opening: spring 2026


Set within a magnificent Georgian mansion on London's Piccadilly is Cambridge House. Once host to royalty and the legendary "In & Out" Naval and Military Club, it will now house 102 suites, a fabulous ballroom, a courtyard and the "Major's Grill" brasserie – a collaboration with the group responsible for theatrical destination dining spots such as Carbone. The property forms part of the Reuben Brothers' £1 billion regeneration of the Piccadilly Estate, which is breathing new life into this heritage slice of the UK capital.

Six Senses Milan
Opening: late 2026


Six Senses Milan places guests moments from the Pinacoteca gallery and a brief walk to the Duomo in the city's artsy Brera district. The 69-room property includes 15 suites, with two featuring private plunge pools and a stunning rooftop where a sky pool and bar offer views across the fashion capital. Interiors showcase local craftsmanship through marble, antique brass details and mosaic work, offset by Six Senses' signature wellness-centric ethos. The sustainable "Earth Lab" offers workshops for crafting items such as beeswax wraps and zero-waste candles.

The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel

Glitzy Gstaad is gearing up for Four Seasons to take over The Park, which made its mark as the resort's first five-star hotel when it opened in 1910. This 75-suite property in one of Europe's most prestigious alpine destinations now includes exclusive Penthouse Residences for purchase, with architecture that balances traditional chalet vibes with chic design and premium amenities. Access to the slopes is slick, however the comprehensive spa, indoor and outdoor pools and dining options are designed to maintain year-round appeal.

Located on a secluded peninsula just over an hour from Lisbon, this 113-key property sits within a vast nature preserve. Accommodations – 42 rooms, three suites, 63 houses and five villas – are dotted among dunes and pines, many with private pools. Two kilometres of private beach provide ample space for solitude, while five distinctive restaurants focus on regional seafood and local produce. The spa is architecturally integrated into the dunes and electric buggies offer silent transport throughout the grounds.

Anantara Kafue River Tented Camp – Kafue National Park

Anantara's first Zambian property has 12 spacious tented suites, including a 600 sqm Presidential Villa with a private plunge pool, in the wildlife-rich Kafue National Park. Water-based safaris join traditional game drives, thanks to the camp's exclusive boat access, while back at camp, a pool awaits alongside dining with river views and sundowners around a traditional African boma.

Kulu Ora Lodge by WildPlaces Africa – Murchison Falls National Park

Perched along the Nile in Uganda's Murchison Falls National Park is Kulu Ora Lodge, home to 11 canvas suites, each with a private plunge pool and copper bathtubs. Set in a newly designated low-impact zone, the fully solar-powered lodge offers extraordinary wildlife viewing – from the 450 bird species that inhabit the region to tracking game across the savanna. The neo-Palladian structure in the vibrant Bang Rak district houses an outpost of The Langham, Hong Kong's celebrated Cantonese restaurant, the T'ang Court bar and the Chuan Spa, which integrates Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques. Capella Kyoto
Opening: spring 2026


Capella's Japan debut in Kyoto is destined as a sanctuary reflecting the city's 1,200-year legacy.
