The vibrant city of Santiago is set to host the visionary leaders behind the globe's most brilliant vineyards this November.
The 2026 edition of The World's 50 Best Vineyards is set to be hosted in Santiago de Chile, bringing the global wine community together in one of the continent's most celebrated wine destinations.
Taking place during the week of 16 November in partnership with the Government of Santiago, its Regional Corporation and Grupo Liderazgo, the event programme will culminate with the reveal of the 1-50 ranking of the very best vineyard experiences across the world.
The awards ceremony will celebrate the vineyards offering outstanding hospitality and wine tourism experiences, recognising emerging talent alongside established names. Last year's ranking saw Millahue's Vik named The World's Best Vineyard 2025, with Schloss Johannisburg and Bodegas Ysios ranked No.2 and No.3 on the list respectively.
At the 2026 awards ceremony, in its home country, Vik will join the Hall of Fame group, formed of all the vineyards that have topped the annual poll of The World's Best Vineyards over its history, which are no longer eligible to be voted on new editions of the list. Last year's ranking marked the first time a Chilean vineyard had topped the ranking, with seven other vineyards from the country making the list.

Santiago is home to the renowned Maipo Valley and serves as the gateway to some of Chile's most celebrated wine regions, making it an exciting hub for the week's celebrations.
Claudio Orrego, governor of Santiago, says, "We are filled with deep pride that an organisation of 50 Best's standing has chosen Santiago for its grand debut in Chile.
"Our region is making steady progress towards becoming the wine and tourism capital of South America, and hosting this international event strengthens our global leadership.
"Santiago is the main gateway to wine tourism in our country; a unique setting where urban energy and winemaking tradition come together to create a grand symphony in the Maipo Valley."
While the hotly anticipated unveiling of the 1-50 ranking is the apex of the week's festivities, there will be ample opportunity for connection, knowledge exchange and exploration during the event programme.
In the lead up to the ceremony, the winner of the debut One To Watch Award will be announced, as well as the extended 51-100 vineyard list.

The 1-50 and extended 51-100 lists are compiled annually to spotlight and celebrate leading wine tourism destinations around the globe, highlighting exceptional vineyards offering unique experiences.
The list is created by the Voting Academy, made up of more than 700 influential wine and travel experts and sommeliers who submit votes based on their best vineyard experience.
There are no criteria for what constitutes best – elements such as overall visitor experience, ambiance, cuisine, activities, views, service, staff and value for money may have varying degrees of importance to different voters.
