Ahead of the virtual ceremony, 50 Best will reveal the first-ever list of bars ranked between 51st and 100th on Thursday, 29th April. The reveal will take place on The World’s 50 Best Bars Instagram channel at 15:00 China/Singapore time. Discover the digital programme for the events here.

50 Best will also debut its ‘Breaking The Ice’ bartender discussion series with three editions on 2nd, 3rd and 4th May on Facebook and YouTube starting at 15:00 China/Singapore time.

For Breaking The Ice, 50 Best brings two leading bartenders from each of the three featured cities – Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok – together for a frank and honest conversation. The pair will take it in turns to draw cards at random from a deck, asking each other questions to get to know more about their character, learn what the pandemic period has taught them and discuss how it has influenced their plans for the future.

How is 50 Best supporting the recovery of the hospitality sector?
In 2021, 50 Best aims to support bars of all types and at all levels across Asia, and indeed the world. It is our hope that being part of Asia’s 50 Best Bars will help bars and their teams promote their establishments – and the wider hospitality sector as a whole – as they enter the next stage of recovery.

In 2020, the 50 Best organisation launched the 50 Best for Recovery programme, in partnership with founding donor Perrier, to provide tangible financial relief for the industry and offer helpful resources for restaurant businesses as they emerge from the coronavirus pandemic and seek actionable advice and support. Through this programme, 50 Best has raised US$1.29 million to date, which has been distributed to hospitality businesses across the world via direct grants and to non-profit organisations.
