Camden’s Roundhouse will again play host to The World’s 50 Best Bars 2019, which takes place on Thursday, 3rd October

Today sees the announcement that The World’s 50 Best Bars 2019 ceremony will take place at Roundhouse in Camden, north-west London, on Thursday, 3rd October. The whole event will be live streamed on The World's 50 Best Bars Facebook page, starting at 8.15pm GMT. 

Voted for by over 500 drinks industry experts, bartenders and cocktail specialists spread all over the world, the list of The World’s 50 Best Bars is an essential guide to the planet’s top drinking destinations. The 2018 edition, which was topped by Dandelyan in London, included bars from 22 countries around the globe. Check out the 2018 list here.

The event on Thursday, 3rd October, will begin by announcing the No.50 and conclude with the big reveal of The World’s Best Bar 2019, sponsored by Perrier.

In addition to the No.1, other significant awards to be announced on the night include the Industry Icon Award, celebrating an individual’s career and achievements in drinks, and the Campari One To Watch Award, which will acknowledge a global rising-star bar. The Altos Bartenders’ Bartender Award, voted for by bartenders from this year’s list, represents the ultimate tribute from fellow professionals, while the Legend of the List title goes to the bar that has performed most consistently in the history of the awards. Furthermore, the Ketel One Sustainable Bar Award is given to the bar on the list that achieves the highest overall sustainability rating, as assessed by The World’s 50 Best Bars sustainability partner, Food Made Good Global.

But you don't have to wait until October for your first installment of excellent bar recommendations for 2019. The announcement for those on the extended 51-100 list will take place on 24th September. See those on last year's 51-100 list here.
