Top chefs, restaurateurs and food media gathered in New York City to discuss their country's cuisine, provoking a hive of social media activity as well as thought-provoking videos and articles.

    Since then, The World's 50 Best Restaurants has held #50BestTalks events in Lima, Singapore and Mexico City, and there are plans for Buenos Aires, São Paulo and beyond.

  • Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2014

    The second edition of Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, was announced at a gala event in Lima, Peru, on 3rd September 2014, with the support of PromPeru, the national tourism board.

  • Manifesto

    The World's 50 Best Restaurants list is an annual snapshot of the opinions and experiences of 1000 international restaurant industry experts. What constitutes "best" is left to the judgement of these trusted and well-travelled gourmets.

    There is no pre-determined check-list of criteria; for example, an interesting experience in a simple establishment, where exceptional innovation was discovered, could be judged better than a more opulent meal from a widely feted restaurant team. The results are a simple computation of votes.
