Agadir

Agadir

Evoking the flavours and fragrance of the Maghreb, Agadir blends Arabian and Mediterranean cooking styles to great effect at the Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa. Its flickering lanterns and intimate ambience transport you to the medinas of Marrakech, and its dishes offer a taste of Morocco that’s every bit as authentic. Dark and dewy tagines complement mounds of crumbly, fruit-strewn couscous, and when the cooler weather comes, a strong coffee and a shisha pipe are all that you need to recreate those North African nights.

David Contreras

When Argentinean chef David Contreras started out as a kitchen helper in his homeland in 1994, he couldn’t have envisaged a move to the Middle East. He worked his way up, with spells at the Hotel Eiffel Villa Carlos Paz and the Cordoba Park Hotel, before becoming head chef at the El-Arrabal restaurant. He moved to the Middle East in 2004, eventually joining the Starwood Group to take charge of the kitchen at the Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa.
