Pantja

Jakarta

Located in the business district of South Jakarta, Pantja is a haven for both culinary gourmets and cocktail aficionados. The restaurant and bar embodies the essence of its Sanskrit-derived name, meaning ‘five’, representing the team's unwavering focus on five key elements: food, drink, music, design and hospitality. The first floor of Pantja houses an inviting dining room with a view of an open fire in the kitchen, setting the stage for a memorable culinary experience. Ascending to the second floor, guests are welcomed by red-brick arches reminiscent of New York's iconic Grand Central Station. A carefully curated playlist of soul, jazz and hip-hop complements the food and beverage offering delivered by the talented team.

Helmed and co-founded by bartender Kabir Suharan and chef Rapha Menchaca Pantja embraces a farm-to-table philosophy, celebrating the abundance of Indonesia's natural resources. Suharan places classic cocktails at the heart of the drinks programme. Alongside some signatures and classics, the 2024 drinks menu, Tribute, pays homage to unsung heroes of the bartending world. The Black Bar section honours black bartenders who helped shape the art of mixing drinks, while the Woman Trailblazers praises the contributions to fine drinking and hospitality of women across the world. Try the Stone Sour by Thomas Bullock, the first black bartender to publish a cocktail book, and the Hanky Panky from Ada Coleman: a mix of gin, vermouth, fernet Branca, amaro and bitters.
