A cathedral for steak lovers. Owner Pablo Rivero’s devotion to sourcing top-quality grass-fed cuts stems from growing up in a family of butchers and cattle herders. The family home has since been converted into the dining room of Don Julio, named after the property owner and beloved neighbor. Empty Malbec bottles bearing adoring messages from satisfied customers are stacked up like books on the walls, but it is the vast grill that takes centre stage. Sit back and let expert asadors cook your steak to perfection. Start with crispy yet tender mollejas (sweetbreads) and goat’s cheese provoleta but be sure to leave plenty of room for the star of the show. The bife de chorizo is thick and juicy, but those in the know order the off-menu entraña (skirt).
