The gregarious winemaker who gives Riccitelli Wines his name imbues passion and personality into all that he does. He established his winery in 2009 in Las Compuertas, in the shadow of the Andes, and guests can learn about high-altitude winemaking on tours, tastings and meals at the Riccitelli Bistró. The kitchen garden supplies many of the ingredients for the traditionally inspired cuisine, the ultimate experience being a six-course tasting menu paired with the estate’s wines. Tours take you through the vineyards (which sit 1,100m above sea level) and are followed by various tasting options, exhibiting the Riccitelli ranges, vintages and special projects, such as the bottles produced in collaboration with Matías’ winemaking father, Jorge, using ungrafted old Malbec vines.
