Fratelli Paradiso

Sydney, Australia

Founded over 20 years ago by brothers Giovanni and Enrico Paradiso and Marco Ambrosino, Fratelli Paradiso was at the vanguard of modern Italian cooking in Australia. Since 2001, the restaurant has earned its place as one of Sydney's favourite haunts, offering exceptional cooking, over 100 wines and maintaining a friendly neighbourhood vibe throughout. Dishes take inspiration from all over Italy, with a dish of saffron fregola with roast tomatoes and southern calamari borrowed from Sardinia sitting alongside house-made salsiccia di fegato with soft polenta and cime di rapa inspired by one of the most famous dishes in the L'Aquila province, plus the Florentine classic that is beef tagliata. Daily specials are added to chalkboards in classic trattoria style and are always worth checking out as part of a traditional four-course Italian feast.
