Quirky Antwerp cocktail bar Dogma offers what it describes as “dandy drinks” with inimitable style and a sense of humour. What it does take seriously, barring the occasional pun, are the cocktails themselves, such as the Vera & Sage, a refreshing combination of Patron Silver Tequila, sage, aloe vera, ginger and lime. The classics are gently twisted – think Amer Picon in the Negroni – and there’s a list of G&Ts, as well as champagne. To soak up all those drinks? There are daily fresh oysters, as well as a selection of cheeses and charcuterie. The bar’s interior is modest and unassuming, with some tasteful vintage details like an antique till, and old-school bar stools. What’s more, rumour has it that if you pull the correct book from one of the bookcases, you’ll be admitted to the bar’s speakeasy, Chicago, set in the 1920s.
