Rosewood Beijing

Beijing, China

Rosewood’s flagship hotel opened in Beijing in 2014 and prompted the brand’s growing expansion into Greater China. Located in the city’s central business district, the hotel strikes a fine balance between tradition and modernity. Its bold, geometric facade hints at the contemporary aesthetics inside, though tradition is also woven into the design through stone, silk and carved wood materials, alongside an art collection highlighting ancient Chinese techniques. Rooms and suites are equally refined, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering skyline views, Frette bathrobes, marble bathtubs and toiletries by Florentine perfumer Lorenzo Villoresi. An executive lounge and dedicated butler service provide extra privileges to business guests, while leisure seekers can retire to the Sense Spa. Rosewood also takes guests beyond Beijing with a tour of China’s regional cuisines across its seven restaurants and bars – from dazzling dim sum at the Michelin-starred The House of Dynasties, to hand-pulled noodles at Country Kitchen and sharing-style hot pots at Red Bowl.
