This Americana-inspired bar is Ralph's Lauren's first in China, following openings in New York, Paris, Chicago and Milan. Inside, the space is wrapped in dark wood panelling and filled with polo references, from saddles and helmets to cocktail stirrers shaped like polo mallets, with a vibe somewhere between rustic and refined. The focus here is firmly on American whiskey, which forms the backbone of much of the cocktail list, including originals such as the RL67, which blends rye whiskey with peach liqueur, vermouth and Angostura bitters, and the Pomaro – a mix of amaro, beetroot and pomegranate. The food follows a similarly familiar, comforting route, with Ralph Lauren favourites including shrimp cocktail, burgers and a classic New York cheesecake.
